Kent Design and Development Awards 2012

FrancisKnight are sponsoring the Kent Design and Development Awards (KDDA) 2012 along with DHA Planning and Development Consultants, Kent County Council and Ward Homes.

KDDA showcases design excellence across Kent, with eight categories demonstrating how development industry professionals use their skills to develop and enhance Kent's environment.

FrancisKnight have commissioned Kent based artist Dan Stafford to design a bespoke award for the eight categories.

Dan makes hand-built architectural ceramics using earthenware, slips and glazes. His current work is influenced and researched using architecture that is based in Kent. 'The exploration of composition and the configuration of structures and their component parts, are presented as abstract forms. My work continues to investigate a dialogue between, physical and emotional responses to optical illusions, pattern, rhythm and balance' Dan Stafford.
